Fire at the Yankee Air Museum

Yankee Air Museum Recovery Fund

In addition to the previously planned Phases, the Michigan Aerospace Foundation set up a new Funding mechanism dedicated to helping the Yankee Air Museum recover from the October 9, 2004 fire which destroyed the original hangar and home of the YAM.   Each component of the Yankee Air Museum Recovery Fund represents a specific area of need related to the losses attributable to the fire.  Each of these components stands on its own and may be considered for specific, allocated funding.  Note that the new hangar is included in this table as it is the most pressing need going forward.  Contributions towards the hangar and related architectural fees should be directed to the Building Fund rather than the Recovery Fund.
